Tucked behind layers of folliage and underneath the soft needles of bald cypress trees, this spot is the perfect location to escape from the bustle of the city.

When I first read that we had to do "sit spots" for class, I was annoyed and thought it was a time filler activity that I would not benefit from.

This could not be farther from the truth. I didn't know it at the time, but I have been doing sit spots for a long time, not realizing what I was doing. I love going outside, looking at the animals, and practicing my plant identification skills. It is so relaxing and a great"homework" assignment to mix into a busy day when I just need a break. Everyone deserves time to take a breather and just be a human, a resident on Earth. I recommend everyone find a place in the world to just enjoy, with no other obligations.

Do not forget to look really closely! You'd be delighted to find all the small things you never noticed before.
