The students of North Park University recognize that the land that the University was built on was, and has long been, the land of Native peoples. The Chicagoland area is the traditional homeland of the Anishinaabe, or the Council of the Three Fires: the Ojibwe, Odawa, and Potawatomi Nations. Many other Nations consider this area their traditional homeland, and we hope that in creating this website and establishing natural meditative practices, we are honoring their intentionality.
